Flashing light:
If the FAVC controller senses too high a humidity reading in the ductwork it is mounted on, the light will flash between green and red or green and blue. If the light is flashing between the different colors, the unit will be inoperative until the humidity level is reduced to a normal RH range.
On all the time:
The FAVC should be on all the time to meet the ASHRAE 62.2 standards for proper air exchanges. However, using DIP switch 5 on the FAVC controller, the system can be shut off if the home is going to be vacant for a period of time.
