Our GVD units are designed to operate safely at temperatures up to 550°F. While the stainless steel pipe itself can withstand even higher temperatures, the controller mounted on the bracket is limited to 550°F. In most cases, this is not a concern because typical gas heating appliances produce flue gas temperatures below 400°F, which is well within the GVD’s operating range.
