The PVE-1200 has a slide damper on the inlet of the power venter to regulate the amount of air that it would be drawing from the appliance. The damper is used for your rough airflow adjustment so the power venter does not over draft the appliance.

Question: I need to replace a PVO-300. What current unit can be used for an adequate replacement?
Answer: The PVE-1200 or one of the SWG series paired with a CK-63. We would need to know the application and the GPH to determine what would work best.
